Whoa that was a crazy awesome read. I was craving something with heavy magic use and boy did this book deliver! Great ending too. Definitely itching to read the next already!

An interesting historical fiction story. I appreciated learning so much about the 16th century but damn it could be real dry and boring at times. The witch powers were really fascinating. Time-walking is weird! And i like it.

Really really enjoying the story, but I cannot absorb all the info via audio format! Must switch to paperback. Perhaps I can return to the GA version then.

Reign & Ruin by J.D. Evans
Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.

The dialog would start & then be interrupted by an action or description by a dash & the quotation marks would face the incorrect way. Over and over. Also the plot was quite boring. Side characters were flat. Main characters were slightly interesting, but not enough. Action scenes were super predictable.

Maybe I'll revisit when I want a shallow contemporary fantasy

Really good, although a lot of info was crammed in there!  Whew. Pretty intense info dumps.
