-gay. good. dense. first 100 pages hard to get through. i feel like this is one of the books where the sequel HAS to be better cus this entire story was a big set up. unnecessary gory detailed injuries.
Beautiful poly queer black fat romance !! what else can I truly say about it?!
(This book has many content warnings. So please research beforehand.)
This story definitely surprised me by how much I enjoyed it. It's full of erotic yet sensual and intimate moments and wonderful characters. The way the sexual moments were so much care that you could feel the love and respect the characters have for one another. Also, something about them being so open and accepting of who they are/their identities was such a breath of fresh air. Like YES! Fat is not a bad word. It's beautiful! And queer love shouldn't be a whisper but a shout. (And oh boy do Jordanne, Kian, and Luka shout!)
The characters were so well developed, each having their own struggles and personalities. It had me cheering on for their relationship AND personal achievements. The characters have such a healthy and supportive relationship with the utmost respect. Please let's normalize having healthy boundaries in relationships!! (It was wonderfully navigated in their romance.)
Overall, it was an unexpected read but enjoyable. (A bit too much smut for my personal taste but then again I'm literally ace and they are sex workers. So this is less than a grain of salt you should take LOL)
omg this book is actually perfect!!! the drama, the slow burn during the first half, the well developed and love able characters!!! everyone in this book needs to marry me right now . it reads to beautifully too. ugh. i love love. I NEED A SEQUEL RIGHT NOW PLEASE PLEASE
