Very addictive read and unusual structure of a book. I loved the philosophical questions and the intensity of the relationship between Amalia and Alex. The way they struggled with the difference between being best friends and lovers and not being able to be both at the same time. Beautiful book

Amazing. I give this book 5 stars because it’s very well written. The slow pace that allows you to connect to the characters and slowly learn more about their realities. The mix of reality and fantasy, but a type of fantasy that feels very real. The ending that made so much sense and made me cry… I can’t explain how much I loved this book.  The fantasy aspect was grounded in reality, in the different timelines, that’s why it felt so real. Damn I’m thankful to this bookclub for bringing me such amazing reads. 😭❤️

I don’t even know how to rate this cause I hated the ending. There was a lot of build up during the series regarding ciri’s powers and the prophecy but in the end, that just ends up seeming unimportant, because you get zero closure. I was hoping that the last book would give important insight to some questions that were left kind of abandoned, but no. So I’m quite disappointed, I was expecting more.
Overall review of the series tho: great universe with interesting characters. These are books that make you laugh but also make you confused and wondering were the line between mystery and reality/ magical is at. Most of the stories are involved with magical aspects and interesting metaphors and symbols wich I find interesting. I really enjoyed reading these books but I must say that the story is not well developed, there should be more. To end like this doesn’t make any logical sense, and the tv series although lacks some coherence and is mostly catered to the romantic aspect, does appear to move towards a more logical path regarding the ending. It’s yet to be seen how it will end there.

This book is incredible. It was I think the first memoir I have read. The way the author browses through their life and these episodes that start in childhood and end in adulthood, bringing forth matters of growing up as Muslim, queer and gender non- conforming is amazing. Also with narrations of qran paraboles that relate to the narrator’s life and the way they understand the prophets and their moral challenges. I was not expecting to relate to this book as much as I did. As someone who s agnostic, but I used to be catholic and ver religious, so religion still holds a special place in my heart and I did grow up as a queer woman, so it was very healing to read certain paragraphs were the author and I had similar struggles with internalized homophobia and the whole matter of feeling displaced in the queer community. Overall 5 starts and super recommend to everyone to read it

This is a great book with complex characters and feelings that are very well presented in the writing. I think it’s also a very realistic depiction of how young adults/teenagers feel in time. However I found some aspects a bit triggering that made me take more time reading it.
