I liked the premise of the story, and the initial haziness of the writing and the narrator. It really enhanced the feeling of disconnect from identity. But the novel dragged as it went on, and the efforts to characterize Percy felt really heavyhanded—yes, intentional, but also boring.

The Triumph of Achilles, Adult Grief, and Legend stood out to me.

So good. The most beautifully written ending to a book I've read in a while.
