A heartbreaking horror story in which motherhood and womanhood are main topics, as well as our relationship with nature and the current state of agricultural technology. I read it in one night and then I couldn't sleep!
This was a fantastic read, it had me hooked from the first page, it made me cry and laugh and also google so much stuff because I had very little information about a lot of the historical events that are mentioned, which is funny because the Western world having little information about them is part of the plot. I love this author so much, the way she depicts grief is so spot-on and so moving and so changing, I cannot recommend this novel enough.
