as someone who (while not Indian) is very familiar with indian culture and also understands hindi, I really enjoyed this raw and unfiltered showcase of their culture, traditions and the misogyny wrapped in all of it. added with the just the right amount of comedy and humor that genuinely made me lol so many times. it really popped off near the end and I absolutely loved how it was all executed! definitely gives a similar vibe to "the southern bookclub's guide to slaying vampires"!
good concept but it's too long. I kept getting bored or distracted from the amount of explanation and description. I liked the last part, which the entire book led upto, but imo it should've been shorter.
honestly idk how to feel about it given that its a "story" that has been memed but also the first of its kind... the fmc was kinda unbelievable tho. definitely written by a man lol
a sad and depressing little book. when things were escalating towards the end, the imagery of the blackhole finally clicked in for me. it really felt like the blackhole was ready to swallow. perfectly encapsulated the feeling of hopelessness.
woah that took a WILD turn from part 3. at first I wasn't sure if I liked it, but that ending... definitely need it to marinate in my mind for some time to be sure how I truly feel about this book lol.
ok wow I really felt like I finished a full-length standalone novel. this was very beautiful but I'd say since it was a short story, we have to figure out a few things about the world ourselves and a few things unanswered. I went back and forth a couple of times in my head trying to completely make sense of the magic system (to avoid spoilers). at the end I probably ended up overthinking and not entirely sure if I'm right about it lol, but either way this was 👏
