This book has so much potential, and the world is extremely interesting. This is what makes it so much more of a disappointment, as nothing is fleshed out. The beginnin is a slog and the ending is rushed and boring. This book would be a fantastic young adult, if it had been proof read by an editor.

A lighthearted fun read with loveable characters, also love the interwoven academia within!

If I was 9 years old, this book would be my entire personality. I love the underlying message of courage and Coraline is an incredibly loveable character.

I loved this book just as much as the first, and I don't think I can use any more words to bottle my adoration for this series.

This book is a cup of tea and a warm blanket for those in need.

The world building is beautiful and delicately drip fed to the audience. To read a hopeful, sustainable future is rare and desperately needed. The book touches on philosophy without being overburdened and dry, allowing the audience to reflect themselves. All of the characters are so loveable, rich and in-depth causing me to sob from beginning to end.

This book is well written with a complex and vibrant world.

However, my problem with this book is its focus on telling rather than showing, particularly in regards to characters. They state the same plot lines repeatedly through long inner monologues to the point it gets dull and irritating. I wish characters would show there opinions/feelings sometimes through action or symbolism, rather than always through spelling it out.

This is a well written fan fiction, and I mean that in the most complimentary way.
