It was ok. I really like dystopian books but this book felt very rushed… especially towards the end. The ending was unsatisfying and didn’t wrap anything up. My only pros, the book kept my attention with the character backstories and writing style but other than that- it was ok.

After wandering upon the film adaptation of ‘My Policeman’, I immediately ran to buy the book. I was hoping for a more in depth explanation of what I had watched yet I feel like the movie gave me more detail and explanation than the book ever could. Which is very surprising. The ending was pitiful compared to the films and the detail that was left out, made the book a bit drab. In all though, this story is very near and dear to my heart and it wasn’t all too bad. Just don’t expect a thrilling ending.

Cheesy. Boring. Political stuff could not grab my attention and the romance came on so fast.
