The story is beautiful, the characters are captivating, but the pacing was so hard for me to follow. I found myself having to read pages over and over because I couldn't understand how we could spend 4 paragraphs on a dream sequence but only 2 lines on a character death. I just wish some of the moments were expanded upon more so I actually knew what was going on.

first of all check the TWs!! This book had so much to offer and I feel like I need to know more.
finding out it was a "true" story was insane and put a lot of my critiques of the book into perspective. why did the narrator sometimes use first person pronouns? bc he was actually writing the book from his pov. why did the book seem like it was written from some British guy's pov and not someone in the universe? bc it was! everything makes more sense now
anyway the book was a quick read and I enjoyed it, although it stressed me out non-stop for the 48 hours I spent reading it
