YAY I LIKED THIS SO MUCH!!!!  just a wonderful time!!  the worldbuilding was a little quick for my tastes -- i don't mind luxuriating in slow explanation, but i get that the desire was to have the magical rules established so we could play in them.  edwin is near and dear to me, robin's a joy, every other supporting character was super strong and wonderfully fleshed out.  and the steamy scenes were just gorgeous.  i can't wait to read the rest of the series!!!

probably the least i've liked any stephen king :( lots of seeds of ideas and themes and relationships that are much better developed later in his career.  christine as an addiction is interesting, but it was a rough start and didn't pick up steam until about a third of the way through.

this is a weird little freak of a book that i will never stop recommending to EVERYONE!!!!  swings viscerally between overwhelming you with phantom scent and a sharp sense of humour and the consideration of what actually binds us all together -- and how easily we might break that binding apart

absolutely crucial read.  i'll be recommending this book to anyone who asks, in a hopeless tone of voice, how america could have possibly gotten to the place it's in today.

MUCH more jam packed!!  a wealth of embarrassing-koro-sensei content, which is always a treat -- plus another saiki crossover!!  yay!
