Short, sweet and spicy how I like it. The conflict was over before it even started tho but I guess this isn’t a figure out who done it type of story so I appreciate it either way. I been on some thug love heavy for a while. This was a refreshing step back into the softer side of love.

I know there are more books to come dealing with the rest of the brothers but so far this book is my favorite. I laughed as much as I was yelling at the screen on my kindle like I was watching a Tubi movie! I loved that Scotti was actually strong willed even in her situation. She had a plan and she made her moves successfully. She didnt fold or break character even though there were so many people trying her thruoughout this story. I do believe that the St. Thomas/Comptons were too nice to Teyaira cuz she needed her a$$ whooped from coast to coast. Her whole story line was one second hand embarrassment after another. I loved that Lequay grew into a boss and did everything he said he would when he was a teen in book one. I love that he was always 100% real. He was that guy and didnt need to put on for it to be known and felt. I still get a sick feeling reading the "warehouse" scenes
and even though shes fictional my heart broke for Maylani having to grow up without her mother and "father" because of her mothers stupidity. I felt nothing for Bosco though, nor Nairobi. And I do feel like Creep deserve another fate. Just fire the man.
All over though, it was a great rollercoaster of a read and I cannot wait until the next installments are available.

After reading the initial story. Im glad that Khari matured with age. Couture wasnt my favorite character in the world in either the first book or this on but she seems to grow in her own way as well. There were times in the book were lines were repetitive when there was no need to be. How many ways does it need to be explained that the baby Khari and Couture had via surrogacy was, in fact, genetically related to them and only them and not the surrogate but came directly from Khari and Couture and was from their genetic make up and she was really actually the mama even though she didnt birth him. I also feel like these two could have use a therapist. They didnt really work out there individual or collective issues, they just fell back into each other hard.
