Wanted to love this but just couldn’t get into it. The start felt strong, but it became messy and hard to follow after a few chapters - the mixed POV didn’t work for me, especially listening on audio. Some really beautiful sections of writing here, but in other parts it feels almost clunky and unedited. I’m sure this book would be a lot more enjoyable if you were interested in marine life - whilst I’m interested in conservation, I don’t know much about marine life, so Pod went over my head a bit. Might take out a physical copy from the library and give it another try later in the year.
