Love the premise and its executed very well but I wish the drug personifications were a bit less?? emotional? Its a bit contrived to believe <a drug can fall in love with someone> but I liked the basic premise enough to finish the book.

The last chapter still haunts me nearly two days after finishing this book; A dark, gritty look into the reality of what cancer steals from everyone. I genuinely sobbed, it hit very close to home and even seeped into my dreams. The story of Tessa isn't going to leave me for a long, long while.

Not bad, not amazing; Very middle of the road. The side characters were very likeable and I liked the dynamic between the group towards the end, The chemistry was really good. Ending was a little?? eh, not what I was expecting but I enjoyed it as my first John Green book, will def be reading more of his stuff!
