Disturbing and sometimes poignant, but not overly so, and definitely nowhere near as gross as people make it sound! It’s an interesting book with a few fun twists/turns, and some of the characters (especially Marek and Agata) are compelling, but it doesn’t always stick the landing. The prose is really catchy and nice to read, though, even when the content falls short.
