This book was definitely better than the second one. The writing was better (at least the translation didn't seem as cringe as the last one). I was disappointed by how easy it was for Nathan to get his revenge but I did start to care a bit more about the characters. Though I do have to say that some deaths were so out of the blue.

I hated the writing, maybe the translation is off but I just did not enjoy the style. It is still very easy to read though, and it's one of its good qualities. I didn't like the main character and his repetitive thoughts and I'm not sure any other character left me with good impression. The last part was the best one as the action started moving and just for that I'll read the third book but I was really debating it throughout the story.

I loved the plot of the story the force to drive it forward. I was interested in scheming and all those things. However, it was too slow paced. With the first book I could still understand the pacing this time it was harder because there was no character development for Rin. I knew in the first book that I don't like her but that was okay, I still wanted to see her perspective. This book it was just disappointment after disappointment... I get why she is like that but there was no improvement to her character. This book just let me down a lot but I will still read the next book.

At first I thought I was reading just a fantasy book where the main character is kind of like the chosen one. Happy to see that we got more than that and it was incredible to see how Adelinna's powers progress.

I did not have much expectations but it was a great book. I liked the writing and the story was very interesting. I could not really tell who was the killer and it was interesting to see the exposé. To be honest, the only thing that is stopping me from giving it a 5 are my guts... I have no idea why

You die as a superhero or watch yourself become a villain... That's how I feel reading the whole iron fae series... As a teen I loved the first 4 books so as an adult I came back to the other parts. And the writing feels soo off. A lot of time there will be something written in one chapter and we get a whole recap of the same thing again. Plus the whole show don't tell thing... The readers are not stupid! The story just didn't feel genuine just another trilogy that Kagawa wants to put but not everything needs to be a trilogy. The best part of the book was when Puck was telling about his past, so maybe a novel with Puck's stories would have been better than the end of the world prophecy. The internal fight with himself was also interesting and the way Ash was speaking to Puck tore me apart. And I just wish just like the old times they would've been three. I couldn't feel any chemistry or romance between Puck and Nyx... As a Puck lover this was such a disappointment.

I couldn't get in into the writing style but I kept reading as the mystery aspect seemed interesting. However, after reading three chapters it got a bit boring and by the end I couldn't really care about what is happening. It might be because I didn't really like or connect to any of the characters. It also might be because it got too predictable, too boring as the villains keep telling all of their stories and plans.

I'm so happy to finally be out of this the June's head... It was horrible and I hated her to bits till the end (in a good way ig?? She has to be unlikeable after all). I wish the ending would have been a bit different though.
maybe it should have ended with her writting that fictious autobiography

I loved the narrator Helen Laser! She did amazing job!

I really liked the start of it until the part when they got her daughter's pov. Maybe because I was listening to audio book sometimes I would forget there was someone different telling the story and I would get confused. Maybe, it would have been better to read it just from the old lady's pov. Even at the end it's her who wrote all the journals so how would she have known what others were thinking? I just wasn't really happy with the last part of the book but the stories that were told were interesting and heartbreaking.
