Deeply inspiring; I want to read Oliver’s poetry every day to remind me of my connection to the Earth and my commitment to being a good person. This book and Braiding Sweetgrass are in conversation, I think. More Christian than I’d expected, though.

I’m not sure I really get poetry. At the same time, in this case, it’s hard to even tell what I might not be getting. I love Vuong’s style, especially in prose, and some passages are genuinely beautiful, but I was so, so confused.
