On Mystic Mountain by Tabatha Waybright
5.0
On Mystic Mountain by Tabatha Waybright is a cautionary tale about a family on a camping trip. The children get separated from their parents after an earthquake and each are tested in their faith. The characters and creatures are rich and colorful in this faith based novel. This would be a good book for anyone in the family or to read as a family together! I am looking forward to the next book by Tabatha Waybright!

The Ultimate Guide to Astrology: Use the Guidance of the Planets to Manifest Your Power and Purpose by Tanaaz Chubb
5.0
The Ultimate Guide to Astrology by Tanaaz Chubb is an excellent guide to the introduction to astrology. The book is divided into 3 parts. The 1st part deals with learning birth charts and the basics of the zodiac signs, the 2nd part deals with the sun and moon within the signs, and the 3rd part deals with the planets within each sign. This book has a lot of information simplified and would be very easy for beginner to follow. The illustrations and charts are absolutely beautiful and informative. Happy Stargazing!
Sherlock Holmes: The Hound of the Baskervilles by Stephanie Baudet
5.0
This edition of Sherlock Holmes comes to you from the Children's Collection: Creatures, Codes, and Curious Cases from Sweet Cherry Publishing. This edition comes from the UK and has some beautiful illustrations. This classic tale starts with The Legend of The Hound of Baskerville.. The legend states that Sir Hugo Baskerville fell in love with the farmer's daughter, kidnapped her, and held her captive. She escaped but when Hugo went looking for her they were both found dead by the moor and the phantom hound was blamed. Now Charles Baskerville has died after a walk with a look of horror on his face and hound footprints nearby. Henry Baskerville is to inherit the property and is expected to continue his family's charity work. This book was delightful in fine Sherlock fashion. Enjoyable for all ages this book is at the middle-grade level. This book is from the same publisher as my previous review of Anna Katrenina and I am looking forward to more classics like this to review.
The Secret Garden: A Graphic Novel by Mariah Marsden
5.0
This Francis Hodgson Burnett classic has been adapted into a fun graphic novel with all the essence of the original. After her parents pass away, Mary is sent to live on her Uncle Craven's manor, Misselthwait. There she makes friends with the servant, Martha, and her brother Dickon. It is suggested she play outside and soon discovers a locked-up secret garden on the grounds. But why is it locked up? And who belongs the terrible cries she keeps hearing in the middle of the night? The book has a nice biography of Burnett at the end with information about the places in the novel and a glossary to build vocabulary. Mariah Marsden and Hanna Luechtefeld did a wonderful job on this enchanting retelling!
Next Stage: In Your Retirement, Create the Life You Want by Tom Wilson
5.0
A beneficial book for planning your retirement
I really like that the book approaches retirement as a reinventing of your adulthood. Retirement does not mean that your life is over, in fact, in some cases it is quite the opposite. This book let's you know where you have been, where you are, and where you are going. This book would be a wonderful gift for anyone reaching the age of retirement.

Burn Zones: Playing Life's Bad Hands by Jorge P. Newbery
5.0
A compelling book for any entrepreneur
This book is not just about bike riding. You are on a race through Newbery's humble beginnings as a paperboy at age 7 to real estate mogul by the age of 24. Along the way he was a great many things. Above all else, he is a great person. The message and continuing theme of "burn zones", the extraordinary effort to preservere in times of trouble that separate the winners from the losers is truly inspiring. Well written, witty, and never boring, this book is something everyone can learn from and aspire to.
