Just starting off with a huge thankyou to Kara Douglas for an advanced reader copy of Lunaria.

I had the privilege of receiving this in return for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved the botanical references at the beginning of each chapter and I hope it ties into something in the second book.

This book screams Bridgerton meets Game of Thrones and I love it!!

Amira the FMC grows up in the Royal Military Camp surrounded by men who look down on her because she is a woman and the Royal Merchant's daughter. She is trapped in her own life, a prisoner to her father as he treats her like a servant and has plans to use her as a pawn for his own personal political gain. Amira's only reprieve in her prison is trips to the market to visit her old farmer friend Linnick who runs a fruit stall and spending time with her best friend Opal the only other woman in the camp and daughter of the Military commander. Amira is then thrown into the world of political pursuit and highborns as she is one of the noble-born women chosen to be matched and married off to a man of noble status. To avoid being a pawn in her father's plan she fakes an engagement with Graylen, the prince's advisor and tangled in a love triangle with the Prince of Crea. She has to navigate her feelings and discover the secrets that her father has been holding back from her and the twist at the end was perfect!

I screamed, cried and smiled while reading this. The first 30% of the book was a bit slow but it picks the pace up after that and things start to happen. I definitely recommend to people who love politics and fantasy.

I can't wait to see what the next book has in store!
