After the tragic death of her mom (Cora), Harlow heads to the small town of Crescent Ridge hoping to uncover what kept her mom on the run but instead uncovers life-changing family secrets. This book had me gagged down to literally the very last page.
While it was nice to get a spicy update on Cam & Sly (plus Gia & Grant), the ending was abrupt and came out of nowhere. The author tried too hard to incorporate unnecessary spooky elements into this Halloween novella.
Sparks fly when Camryn bumps into her former professor (Sylvester ‘Sly’) on a week-long singles’ cruise where she shows him that she’s all grown up. The book was cute but a drag to read because of the numerous will they or won’t they moments.
Phoenix has been crushing on her BFF’s twin brother (Reign) for 17 freaking years and her wish finally comes true with the help of an enchanted cabin on Halloween. The dialogue was cringy. The sex scenes were cringy. The only reason I didn’t DNF is because the book was so short.
Kohen won’t admit he has the hots for his assistant (Nami), so his best friend (Theo) forces his hand during a work trip. The plot was lowkey ridiculous and the dialogue was corny at times. This is the second book I’ve read by this author and I’m realizing she adores threesomes and praise kink.
A porno in novella format. The secretly-obsessed stepbrother (Kenji) of Seven’s cheating-ass ex chooses to finally shoot his shot at a Halloween fairground while tagging his homies (Tryp & Gael) in for a little fun too.
A heartbroken woman (Phoenix) encounters a mysterious man (Khalid) on Halloween who pleasures her and makes her dreams come true… but with a twist. The premise had promise but the plot didn’t make a lick of sense. The sex scenes were okay.
There was a slight corniness factor but this was a cute, short Halloween read. I loved the underlying theme about communication and compromise between Mike and Deena but felt like the pleasure guide (Amber) was underutilized.
This is the only book out of the series that I was compelled to read (because of the love interest–Niya), and I was still able to follow along and not feel lost. It was campy but entertaining. It got somber near the end, but I was satisfied with the plot twist.
