The Fabric of Civilization: How Textiles Made the World by Virginia Postrel
1.0
Equates capitalism with "progress"; very dismissive portrail of slavery & genocide of the first nations; throughout it is casually racist & islamophobic, gives legitimacy to the settler colonial state of isra*l, and for a book about fabrics, not a single mention of gauze, oh i wonder where that fabric originated from? could it be Gaza, Palestine? Eyeroll, a very disappointing read
