Yes! I enjoyed this book a lot. One twist after another and it was well placed for each one. There are no questions unanswered. Read the epilogue to get the last final twist. Some were predictable and maybe two for me I was like “ohhhh”. I was fully engaged and read this book every chance I received. On my lunch breaks and finishing it up today. I recommend this one for sure.

There were moments in this book where I found myself losing focus, and I’m not entirely sure why. Even though the story flowed easily, it just didn’t hold my attention. I struggled to stay engaged, which made following the plot difficult. It feels odd because it wasn’t a complex read, yet I couldn’t get into it.

I’m torn about how to rate it—maybe three stars? I don’t think rating it too low would be fair since it might actually be a good book, and my lack of connection could be due to listening to the audio version.

As for the ending, I couldn’t tell if it was meant to be a cliffhanger or if the author wanted readers to draw their own conclusions. Either way, I didn’t feel invested enough to think deeply about it.

A good read for sure! Mary was a smart woman but, the book felt own dimension for it to be what it wanted me to believe. I said it out loud what I think would be because I saw another twist fitting into this book. It was no surprise when it happened. Yet, I still enjoy this book because it read well.
