Ugh this book was so sad. Like all of her other books it’s super fast paced and super emotional.  It’s one thing after another. However, with this one I did find myself zoning out a little bit. But I still really enjoyed it!  Definitely will read anything she writers!!

This book could have been so much more for me.  I’m sad it didn’t live up to my expectations. At first I thought it was the format but overall this book was sooo unbearably slow for me.
Sooo much happening but nothing happening.
I loved the end but that was like the last chapter!
When thinking about the book, I keep thinking what I want to think and what could have been great. Not actually what happened.  Don’t get me wrong it’s messed up in itself. It just toook forever and soo much talking.
Not the best for me but def try for yourself!

Gosh!  This book was so intense from the beginning.  From the very first chapter.  It had you on the edge of your seat.  Mixed with so much emotion. I sobbed at so many places of this book.

After read this and Falling, I may never fly again though.

Eeek. How do I even rate this now as an adult.  I was 12 when I first started reading VC Andrews. Dear mother, why did you let me read these lol.
I loved them all back then and literally read every book.
Fast forward “several” years later and WTF!!! This book is messed up on so many levels. So many trigger warnings.  I guess this explains why I love Lucinda Berry so much.
I sit and wonder, as a kid essentially, how I read this writing style. Good Golly Gosh!
I’m glad I reread this as an adult and of course see things in a little bit of a different light.

This was my first Meghan Quinn book and will certainly not be my last!

I didn’t realize the 🌶️ but I’m certainly not mad at it!

Businessman Huxley (love this name) gets himself in a sticky situation and is in desperate need of a pregnant fiancé asap. (Didn’t love the fake pregnancy aspect, but looove fake dating)

Lottie just recently fired by her bestie is hunting the nearby rich neighborhood to find a rich husband to take her to her reunion and make her ex boss jealous.

Of course they bump into each other, no spark, no chemistry but both in need of each other.

I loooved the banter.  Loved the sneakiness. Loved the grumpy sunshine!  Did not love the 3rd act breakup.  But overall I really enjoyed this book!  I’m super excited to check out the other Cane brothers now too!

It’s no surprise I am a huge Lucinda Berry fan and am making my way through all of her books.

After I finished reading this one, I needed to take a second reflect on what I read and my thoughts.

Celeste was raised by her mother and abandoned by her father and is determined to have the perfect family.  Her daughter becomes life threatening ill and now all of Celeste’s secrets are about to unfold.  Secrets that will destroy her family.  But she’s willing to go to anything length to protect them.

I was trying super hard to figure out what was going on in the first half!  I did figure one part out!  Yay me.  Berry writes it so you really don’t like Celeste and your heart just breaks for her little girl. The second half though I found myself just a little bored and even more annoyed with Celeste.  But then all the twists come out. Overall I enjoyed this book. It was a super fast read and kept me really engaged!

Wow!  Another great story!!  4.25 ⭐️
I still looved Still Beating more but this one was still so good!!

Sydney’s best friend goes missing when she is a little girl. He was her life.  They had plans.
22 years later he is finally back.

The twist at the end wow!!  But the bond between Oliver and Sydney is sooo incredible.

And we get to hear about my book friend Dean and Cora.

I flew through this book. Def recommend.

This book was heartbreaking and traumatizing and beautiful all at the same time.

I went into this book semi blind.  Knowing that it was a little messed up. But there was nothing that could have prepared me for what I actually read.  Going back and reading some of the reviews, I see a ton of 1⭐️ and then a ton of 5 ⭐️ not a whole lot in between. People either love this book or they hate it.

Cora is out celebrating her sisters birthday and ends up having her wallet stolen. Not able to get an answer from any of her other friends she reaches out to her archnemisis Dean,  who is also her sister’s fiance for a ride.

Next thing she knows she’s locked in a man’s basement with Dean in chains as well.

After years of going back and forth at each other they now have to work together to find a way out. What they don’t know is that their abducted already has a plan in place for them!

This book made my jaw drop from the very beginning. The things that happened were unimaginable.  My heart ached for their situation.

There were a few negatives.  The FMC was sooo frustrating.  I loved Dean but Cora just made me so angry!

Overall though any negatives didn’t matter.  I didn’t want to put this book down. I couldn’t stop thinking about it and it made both my heart and stomach lurch!!  Def recommend!

This book is not something I would typically read but selected from a list for my read around the world book challenge.

I am really glad I chose this book. It’s beautiful and inspiring but heartbreaking.

Adunni has faced the worst of all obstacles at only 14 years old.  Sold for marriage, innocence taken, starved, and beaten.  This poor child has seen that and more.  But she has determination and the will to be more. All Adunni wants is an education and not to just be a girl with a voice. But a girl with a louding voice.  Overcoming her past life Adunni fights for this dream.

I really enjoyed this book. Though in the beginning I did almost quit due to how hard it was to read the broken English, but I pushed through and I’m so glad I did.

Newlyweds April and Eddie are on their way to enjoy their honeymoon and take a wrong turn where they find a girl hitchhiking.

After the girl is in the car they notice she is bleeding. They get her to the hospital where she later dies.

Now the local police are questioning Eddie and April as suspects to the murder of the young girl.

Something just isn’t quite right with this town and the newlyweds are determined to get to the bottom of it.

Overall this was a shorter fast paced read.  It kept me wondering what was going on. However, I didn’t love the outcome.  It’s way too far fetched for me and not something I enjoy reading.  Would def recommend for others to check out.
