The amount of beautiful lines in this book is actually crazy! The best part of how this book can bring empathy into reality- you really feel like youā€™re the characters, experiencing atleast partly of what theyā€™re feeling and going through!

Apart from the invaluable life lessons in this book- just reading his writing style and his stories were an absolute treat. I want to make ā€˜Living an intentional memorable story ā€˜ as one of my core life values now.

Iā€™m just gonna let Jack Edwards describe this treasure because I canā€™t do it justice - ā€œ Itā€™s her most natural integration of big ideas from little normal characters. Ultimately though, itā€™s personal relationships and love and friendship and sex that drives this novel. And how the characters navigate as they try to identify the beauty in the big scary worldā€.

I thought the first half was not that gripping but boy does it keep you on your toes as it progresses. I also loved the incredible detail in which the author went into about the world of psychotherapy ( the main character is a psychotherapist) and and how he was able to incorporate it well with the story.

I love how the author went deep into the whole idea of alien life-> not just describing their external features but making the effort to go through their physiology and genetics and anatomy!! All in all- a very fun, exciting and interesting read.

The way Brandon Sanderson connects plots is just exquisite! Read this only after you finish Bands of Mourning

The book breaks down the basic foundation of forging a good relationship,Ā  focusing more on people being vulnerable to one another and gives a great arguement on why being totally honest with oneā€™s intentions rather than altering oneā€™s feelings and opinionsĀ  for someone else Ā (non-neediness)Ā ultimately makes one more attractive.Ā

Thereā€™s been books that made me cry with sadness, thereā€™s been books that made with laugh with joy-> but this is the only book that made me cry with joy

An absolute masterclass about Trust, Friendship, Family, Strategy, Grit, Love,Pain, Loss, Perseverance- and most importantly, HOPE!
