this was something! like everyone else, i couldn't stomach the murders and the sexual violence that occurred throughout the book. this was certainly a hard read. the only scene i liked was patrick and jean's conversation around the end of the book. i hope i can forget about this book now that i'm finally finished with it.

let me start by saying that i thought this book was unnecessarily long. there were too many fucking babies and at some point, they all started pissing me off. the only one i liked was moffy, to be honest.

adding on, the characters were incredibly repetitive. i don't care that daisy calls ryke "her wolf" every five minutes or that rose pretends to hate connor, but she loves him so much! they kept repeating this over and over again and it quickly became tiring.

i'm honestly glad that this book series is over. it was so anti-friendship, and every antagonist quickly turned into a cartoon villain who lacked any personality or motivations other than to ruin the sisters' lives or the men's. i do have some positive thoughts about the book series, but the exhaustion from reading this unnecessarily long book has made me feel nothing but contempt for it at this moment.

i enjoyed parts of this book, but it was mainly because of the other couples. i will always find ryke and daisy's relationship weird, and i find it even worse now because ryke admitted on their wedding day that he had known since she was 16 years old that he was in love with her.

not only that, but i found both of their characters to be immature. ryke sounded like a middle school boy who just discovered curse words and he acted like a child throughout the book. daisy sounded like a child too. match made in hell?

i also didn't like the scenes where they had sex in public. i don't care if it matches their "wild" and "daring" personalities, i just found it gross.

and i know the authors do this in all of the books in their series, but constantly mentioning the guys' heights and how "alpha" they are was unbearable. and talking about how "feminine" and "small" daisy felt while being around ryke was weird.

i did enjoy the parts of the book with lily and loren in them. i'm still iffy on connor and rose as a relationship, but they were okay i guess. i also enjoyed willow and garrison. the other couples were more interesting than the main one.

overall, ryke and daisy both pissed me off throughout this book. i don't think i'm able to care about their characters. i mostly stayed for loren and lily. also, why was this book so long? nothing is so important that you have to spend over 600 pages talking about it. but anyway, i'm happy to be finally done with this book, and soon i will be finally done with this series.

as i was reading this book, i thought that the author of this book decided to add such gruesome things into this book to shock the readers than to prove an actual lesson. by the end of this book, you realize that there was no lesson. the closest you can say the lesson was that "human beings are all awful people who want to consume and murder one another." overall, this book was essentially pointless. the idea was good, but the execution was awful and unbearable. i'm glad to be done with this terrible book.
