the beginning was so, so slow. i genuinely thought this was gonna go on a different direction but am i glad i pushed through it?? very!!! 

i'm really debating just giving it the 5 star rating, but i feel like i just need the next books to fully grasp the plot.

i would *consider* pushing this to a four, but it just does not hit like that. 

i enjoy the build up to the rebels attack, but i feel like it doesn't pay up? sure like half the characters die but it's so frustrating how they just die and everyone's like okay... SO LETS DO THE WEDDING!

anyways, nice nostalgic read for the year, i'm glad i revisited it!
