This an incredible book. Many complex topics are touched on, leading to oversimplification. However, this book is not the end all be all and should be read in accompaniment of other books. Bell Hooks brings perspectives and understandings that are not common and should be applied to everything that she touched upon. Highly recommend

This book really helped me understand the Israeli occupation of Palestine. It helped me understand the United States historical involvement in the region and has helped me understand the reason for the current actions and statements of Western countries.

I was told this book was really boring but when I read it I LOVED it. She's going through different jobs trying to find one that's easy and each job is too much for her or her contract ends and she has to leave. Each job has its own plot line and I found them interesting and got invested in each one.
I definitely could've kept reading if it went on and I think it ended perfectly!
