Epic, with the taste of potential for greatness. Gripping, with edge of your seat action. Gave me the same feeling as beginning the journey into reading Game of Thrones.

Disappointing, slow-paced, predictable, and while it come with an interesting magical system, I am disinterested in the protagonist, who has little to no personality. The romantic subplot is shoehorned with little to no build up or actual chemistry beyond "this is the romantic interest, now they are together". She (the protagonist) is infuriatingly oblivious and lacks any real motivation or passion.
