Where Sleeping Girls Lie by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé

Whilst i applaud the themes in this book….. this just wasn’t executed well. I did this on audio and the plot reveal didn’t happen until 80% into the book. (Mind you this book is around 14 hours long) even after the reveal there were so many pieces of 3 character back stories that where revealed it took a while to unmask those before the whole “what’s going to happen to all the other characters”. It just dragged too much and most of it was unfortunately boring.

While this book is amazing. I didn’t enjoy the ending. I found it a bit more anticlimactic than I would’ve liked.
