I am addicted! This story is incredible and I have no choice but to continue the saga. My biggest regret is not getting the complete trilogy version of the audio book because now I have to wait to finish the story. It is very reminiscent of Avatar in the absolute best way. The author herself, R.F. Kuang, said “I always describe it to people as Avatar: the last Airbender, but if Azula was the main character and everybody’s on drugs” and that couldn’t be more accurate. If you are a fan of a complex underdog wartime story the likes of Attack on Titan, Narruto, and many other Anime/Manga tales you will love this story.

As a lover of both anthology series and all things living dead (aka zombies, sorry George!) this book was such a TREAT!
