Peyton Rios is a star soccer player, with only one parent, the boyfriend of her dreams, and the most wonderful best friend she could ever have. But one night, that changes when something unbelievable happens at a party. Peyton's dreams of going pro could be shattered. She moves in with her uncle in a small town in Tennesee and meets a guy who has his own secrets. Although, both's secrets are unraveled, and not in the ways either of them planned. Throughout all of this, Peyton has to deal with fights and cocky cheerleaders, high school boys, and rehab.

If you get queasy reading about romance, I don't know why you even would've picked up this book in the first place, but there is romance, a handful or two of mentions about death, mentions of the military, and fighting. There are also mentions of stalking, and abuse.

However, this book was a really good read, and once I got dragged in, I couldn't put it down for anything. I read over half the book in one day, and I usually only read 3, or less, chapters a day.

Not the best book I've ever read, yet it's an amazing read for a K-pop fan. This is my second time reading it, and my reactions were either the same energy or even more energy when something big happened. I think I'll forever love this book, or at least as long as I stan K-pop. I started reading the second book the moment I flipped the last page in this book.

This book was so good! First book of Sara Shepard's that I've read, and I'll be getting the second book as soon as I can. The ending honestly didn't surprise me, but I thought it would happen in the second book, rather than the end of the first. I can't wait to read the second book and get more details.

I'm not giving this book a 5, only because there is room for improvement. In many parts of this book, I noticed scenes that could've been better.

Not the best book I've ever read, but better than some. This is a decent book to read if you like "romantic" dystopian novels with cliques. There were reviews about this book saying that the romance was so strong, and that the characters were so amazing, but I do not agree very much with those statements. Though, I do like the fact that each faction is a different part of speech. I do, however, like how the faction names(Dauntless, Amity, Erudite, Abnegation, and Candor) can easily roll off the tongue and sound nice.

SpoilerI honestly don't like how Tris basically hated Marcus just from being in Tobias' fear landscape, seeing as she hasn't gotten to understand or know Marcus yet.

This book was so amazing!! I may have read this book MONTHS ago, but I still remember major points from this novel. I was sitting in my chair, eating chocolate, drinking tea, and crying so hard. I can't wait to reread this novel when I have time. I was so shocked when I finished it because it didn't feel like the end.

I just finished this book, and for the last, like, 75 pages, I couldn't remove my hand from my mouth. My jaw was basically on the floor. I read many annoying chapters, and at times, I was even contemplating just dropping the book and not finishing it, but I continued to read. When I read the plot twist, I audibly gasped and I almost jumped up off my chair. I continued reading, the whole time I read, I was on the edge of my chair. I finished the book, and almost tried to reach through my Kindle and just punch Jeremy. (Aggressive, I know. But, it's truly what I wanted to do at the moment.)

*Edit: My rating was originally 5 stars at the beginning of the book, then it went down to 3 as I kept reading. The only reason I rated this book a 4.5 is because the plot twist really brought the rating up, seeing as I was on the edge of my seat, about to fall off.*

After the plot, the book was really good, but before, it was quite annoying. Though Cady was a little tiresome throughout the first 3/4 of the novel, it was enjoyable. I read the last 100 pages in one sitting, which is very unusual for me. The plot was interesting, something I didn't expect.

SpoilerMirren and Johnny were such good characters, I honestly didn't think they were ghosts the whole time. I guess the way Cady worded every sentence made me think they were still alive the whole time. I actually thought that Cady was injured in the water accident that "occurred".

I finally figured out at the end why they were called "The Liars", and it was fascinating.
