I think this is my last Lauren Asher book. Getting through the lake front billionaires series has been a struggle and I’ve nearly DNFd so many times. This was far too long and just felt incredibly disjointed and the massive trauma dump in the middle came from nowhere and didn’t feel natural. I dislike the characters and the plot is another one that’s been loosely created around the grumpy single dad trope. Other reviews and the pretty cover got me to try one last book but I won’t be reading anymore.
