This was fun. It made me feel very single, but it was fun.

Not gonna lie, this was one of the worst books I've ever read. It was just bad.

First of all I just want to mention that this is one of the most beautiful books I've ever seen. The illustrations and the cover are astonishing.
The details and explanations made this a pretty good retelling of "the fall of the house of Usher". I also want to mention that I appreciate the last chapter, because it gave the tale a proper ending.
However I have to admit I had a hard time reading it. This is due to the fact that it felt too dry. The emotions displayed by the characters felt rather mechanical and very matter-of-fact which made me feel like I was reading a scientific report rather than a horror fictional story.
In all fairness, knowing what was going to happen at the end (since this is a retelling) might have also added to my boredom while reading this.
