It was ok. The story or characters didn't grab me. Loved the illustrations, maybe this graphic novel just wasn't for me.

Lucky Red is a beautifully written Sapphic western that I could not get enough of.
Bridget hadn't been delt the best hand in life, but she strives to make a better life for herself. When she is orphaned at 16, and taken in by Lydia to join her whore house The Buffalo Queen, she finds frienship, family and love.
Bridget is such a fierce and loyal girl, who is discovering herself and the life she wants to lead. She is true to herself and sticks by her feelings. I loved Bridget from page one. Life was never easy for her. My heart angered and broke with hers, it felt hope and happiness with hers. I just wanted to take her hand a stand tall with her. She never needed to be coddled or saved. She was strong enough on her own, and I loved that for her.

This was such a fun, sweet and highly entertaining read. I loved the country vibes and the connection between Emmy and Luck was super sweet. I could not put this one down.
I can't wait for the rest of this series, but not gonna lie, and say I'm not quite so excited for Gus's book.

No one is safe in a Kristoff book, except you, the reader, as you know you are in for one epic ride when you dive into his worlds. Absolutely brilliant. Loved every second.
