emezi’s writing is inspired and isn’t afraid to take risks (especially for a debut). do i think the narrative was perfected? no! but i haven’t read anything quite like this before and i addddored so much of the conversations going on in this book about the human pysche, sex, trauma and faith. emezi always provides an interesting read and a perspective that feels completely worth your time exploring
