The Ex Vows by Jessica Joyce

It took me awhile to get over myself and stop rolling my eyes that the big “disaster” was wedding things going wrong (it’s a me problem, I’m in a mood) and get into this one. But once I did, I loved it. It’s achingly tender and surprisingly spicy and I am glad that I pushed through my weird reading and “pick me girl” mood and got into it!

I know that I’m going to love this book but now was just not the right time.

This was cute and fine but I just did not find myself wanting to pick it back up and other people were waiting on Libby so maybe another day!

I am just not engaged with the book at all at this point. I turn it on and my mind immediately starts to wander.

This was delicious and I ate it up and licked the plate. I wasn’t expecting steam but I got it. Definitely a great read to escape the hell that is the American landscape.

I don’t know how I will choose what to read next. Wowowowow. This story was so incredibly and beautifully and intricately woven that my words can’t even begin to do it justice. I’ve never highlighted so many passages in a work of fiction. If you loved Ordinary Grace like I did then you will devour this. It’s much like that but on like supergreens.

Just got bored and had too many other books waiting on my shelves. Might return later but probably won’t, maybe on audio. Who knows!

Couldn’t get into the child narrator’s perspective. I was bored but will try and find spoilers online so I can see if the story was going where I felt like it would.
Middle of the Night by Riley Sager

Do I read every Riley Sager book as soon as I can get my hands on them once they release? Yes I do. Do I like them all? No, I definitely do not. I wanted to burn the house across the lake when I finished it but instead got drunk and gave a very spoilery animated retelling to my best friends poolside. This one was predictable but the first one I have actually truly enjoyed in awhile so I guess this specific form of my neurodivergence will continue as long as Riley writes books 🤷🏼‍♀️

Fun, queer zombie book with a couple of steamy moments which was a nice little surprise! Don’t love that my namesake was a bad guy 😅
