This book was suggested to me by Storygraph as one that would be outside of my comfort zone. It was, a little. The (necessary) world building took me a while to get through and I was starting to lose patience, but get through it I did, and then the story took off. This book is beautifully written. In parts, it was truly terrifying. I think the story will stay with me for a while.

I thought this book was quite cleverly written, although I did guess who was involved about 3/5 of the way through and it is very rare for me to guess 'whodunnit'.

There was no horrifyingly graphic violence, and there wasn't excessive swearing. The ending was tidy.

The book could become confusing with so many characters and red herrings, together with the switching between three (or more?) time lines. Still, it was done in an organised way, so that there didn't seem to be any incongruity or inconsistencies.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 20%.
It wasn’t worth continuing to read.  The thing that really turned me off was an identical story being mentioned immediately after it was mentioned the first time. Was this written by AI?
