I recently read another one of Kennedy Ryan’s booked that I loved so much that I decided to look for more. I feel like I’ve been living under a rock and I’m mad that I didn’t discover these amazing books sooner!!

Long Shot has such a grip on me, just the way Kingmaker did! I was listening to the audio (the narrators are amazing btw!) and when I looked at the time it was midnight but I just couldn’t stop. It had such an emotional grip on me that I just wanted to know what would happen next as I rooted for Iris.

Cannot wait to read the rest of the books in the series!

I was fortunate to listen to Brooklyn Kills Me by Emily Schultz, Pub Date 10/15/24, Audio ARC via Netgalley.

I was intrigued by the cover and description of the book which caught my attention for being a murder mystery type of book. The narration, by Lisa Larson, was GREAT! I know narrators have the ability to enhance readers engagement in a book and Lisa did not disappoint!

The story takes you through piecing together Charlottes murder via amateur "detective" Agnes Nielsen and is more modern than your typical murder mystery. The characters involved are posh, rich, famous, and elite and many have reasons to want Charlotte gone. Personally, I liked that there were AHA moments of wondering what would happen next but I found myself lost in keeping track of who was who in the character pile. Still a fun read for sure though!

I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook via NetGalley but the audio edition was not available to choose for this review.

was excited to read this RomCom because sometimes I just want to envelop in a fun & flirty story that will immerse my imagination in anything other than reality lol. Plus, I love a fake dating trope with a HEA. This book was had a fun storyline that hit all the RomCom marks through and through. There attraction between the characters early on in the story and it develops slowly which leads to a fake marriage until they truly fall for each other. It was exciting to see their feelings develop and how difficult it became to hide it as the story progressed.

While I liked the storyline, I wasn't as fond of the narration in the audiobook. I tried really hard to listen to the audiobook solely for the story. The Male MC, Pierre, is supposed to have a French accent but I could not get past the fake accent.
