Got bored really fast. It just keep going and going and it was really repetitive. However, the characters are pretty relatable, you could relate to them very easily - I personally, relate to connor 💀 I just get him.

It started off soooo good with super interesting topics to discuss about and to learn from. Like the footbinding was so interesting, also the pornography, witchcraft.. all these topics were really instructive but then… we got to the last chapter…

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. I thought I would love this book, don’t get me wrong - it’s a good interesting book and I really get and understand why people love it BUT I didn’t not enjoy it like I thought I would. You can tell this book was written by a man - the way he describes all female characters, the way every man called at least one woman a ‘bitch’ just because they are mentally unstable. The ending was pretty predictable so I wasn’t throw off by it. I’m just disappointed.

Amazing. just amazing. I did get a little bit bored at the beginning, I think because I needed to check what every second word actually meant and I had googled what actually happened so I could understand better but then i got over it and it’s just a really interesting book. Like I said, just amazing. Just an amazing? tragedy.

Cute book, really enjoyed it. I loved Evelyn’s and Celia’s relationship however, I didn’t  love the way Monique’s character was portrayed - Taylor Jenkins Reid did not write her  well - she made Monique really insufferable - I wanted to skip her story and just read Evenly’s story.
