I was skeptical about continuing this series after the last one fell short for me in character interest but I really enjoyed these three together. Heavily rooting for them to live on as a throuple past this series lol

the overall series plot though continues to give decent twists

This book was literally everything I wanted trope-wise wrapped into one tied off with a bow of INSANELY GREAT writing. I was hooked from the start with this book. The tension between the two was real and the workplace aspect added a bit of "forbidden" tease that I was all for. The dam really broke for me however when Millie started to be around Finn's girls more. Their little family moving through grief and other emotionally healing journeys had my heart absolutely melting. The way they seamlessly fit as a family had me in ruins in the best way. This was a very real portrayal of love and how things were talked about was amazing based on communication being their priority even if it was after they f'ed up. I have not stopped thinking about these two for days, I am just completely in awe of their love that they live rent-free in my mind all the time. Excited to see this be re-released into the world and I will be encouraging EVERYONE to read it. Very excited to see where the series goes!

I received an ARC copy of this from the publishers through netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was so cute and super quick. Alexis Daria is always going to provide for me, her books are a great time for me, this was a great way to tide me over while waiting for some audiobook holds to come in.

"I feel like I've known him forever, like I was made to know him."

This book did a great job of balancing fun, lighthearted love and found family with serious topics such as workplace harassment and parental resentment/hatred/complicated relationship (so many ways to define it. The love was full of fun nerdy-ness that I found adorable and also full of vulnerability and rawness that I was appreciative of. This is my first book from this author but certainly not my last. I love a good nerdy hero and this being a nerdy fmc AND mmc made it that much better!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 27%.
I was not connecting with any of the characters, and was not really loving the direction I saw it going
