This is a standalone romance that’s apart of a series. This book is connected to a multiverse that Ms Robbins has created.
THIS DAMN BOOK. THIS BOOK RIGHT HERE! OH EM GEE!!!! It had me in EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. of my feels.
Courtney Falcon is child star turned rockstar. After she finds her best friend pregnant with her boyfriend’s baby, she has had enough and decides to go solo. That’s when her manager decides to bring in Marshall “Ammo” Adams to produce her album. Of course the tension starts right off from the beginning. You can feel it in every line! This romance explodes and so does Courtney’s life. Ammo begins to uncover that those closest to her are not who they seem.
Angelina Rocca and Corvin King play out these characters absolutely perfectly. They truly is not two narrators who were better fit for these characters. I could listen to this book over and over.
That also says a lot for Cassandra’s writing. This woman can tell a story HOLY COW. She seriously pulled some feral reactions out of me throughout the whole book. I have hated some characters but not as much as I have hated the villain in this story.
Wow, oh wow! 😳 I think I’m still in shock with that one.
Caleb and Briar Goode had what seemingly looked like the perfect marriage. However, looks can be deceiving. Their marriage is hanging by a very thin thread, becoming dull and lifeless. No passion. No romance. Just routine. That was until Dean Sheridan came back into Caleb Goode’s life.
“I want to seduce her. I want to make her mine. I want to have Briar Goode at my mercy and in my bed.”
Someone seriously needs to turn up the AC because this shit was SPICY 🥵 🔥🌶️ I do not think there was a kink Sara Cate missed in this whole book. We received back to back spicy scenes MMF, MF, and MM!!! Dom/Sub. Love & tenderness.
“It was like finding a part of myself I didn’t know existed but only getting a taste. I want more.”
This was just a beautiful book of love and acceptance. It truly was a journey of finding your way back to the one you love, and accepting who you are. I am so in love with this book I couldn’t be happier with it.
“I’m so staggered by how good it feels to touch him, even just in a passionless embrace. It’s liberating and invigorating, and I never want it to end. He breathes heavily through his nostrils as if he feels it…”
Who the eff knew serial killer romances would become my favorite thing!? It’s like horror, thrillers, and romance wrapped up into one. Wolfe & Weaver have seriously honed in on that genre and are DOMINATING it. This book was brilliantly written by this infamous duo.
Marrow is a rival serial killer romance. These two love to hate each other. For example, he pisses her off so she tases and sedates him to frame him for murder.
This book was too unbelievable. I loved every minute of it. If I didn’t believe Wolfe & Weaver weren’t two of my favorite authors before, I do now. Their content is so unique. Their characters are morally grey vigilantes who take on lovable golden retriever qualities. Who would have thought I’d say that about SERIAL KILLERS!?
The quick, witty banter is top notch in this book. If you loved the Darkly, Madly Duet, or Butcher & Blackbird, this novel is a great mix of both. Super spicy. A touch of horror. And a sprinkle of psychology. That’s also how I know Trisha had a hand in this book. She is an artist when it comes to the psychology of dark romances. Where Brynne shines is in the grumpy x sunshine banter, oh and her love for piercings.
A beautiful end to the most twisted, psychological romance series I have ever read. We find ourselves back in the thralls of Dr. Halen St. James and Dr. Kallum Locke. He is the devil, and she his muse.
Kallum is the most genius and the most insane MMC I’ve had the pleasure of reading. Halen is too apathetic for her own good. Yet, they are brilliant together and completely END GAME. They balance each other and complete each other.
Now, this is how you end a series. This is how you wrap up storylines, and keep your reader guessing. Lovely Wicked Things finally helps us grasp everything Trisha has been building in the previous books. The Easter eggs she left. The philisophical quotes Kallum is constantly dropping. She wraps this all up in a pretty little gruesome package and hands it to us.
THEN! When we are happy with the outcome, she fucking gives us THAT DAMN EPILOGUE and has us second guessing everything. I am left feeling wanton and satiated all at the same time.
NOW GIVE ME THE DAMN AUDIOBOOK SO I CAN GET 4 STRAIGHT CHAPTERS OF KALLUMS NARRATION!!
Late Bloomer is a sapphic opposites-attract romance. This novel includes a slow-burn, grumpy x sunshine romance. Neurodiverse representation. It's a cozy, lighthearted read that leaves you feeling hopeful, and rooting for Opal and Pepper.
I truly adored this novel. It had me laughing out loud and sometimes quietly cursing these two. I usually really loathe a miscommunication trope, but this one I felt was done tastefully. Maybe, it's because I am neurodiverse myself. I could easily relate to their communication issues.
Late Bloomer is heartfelt. There wasn't any lack of the Taylor Swift references...which I am here for! Swifties are going to LOVE this book. I loved Pepper's friendship with Diksha, and would have loved to see more of it. Overall, it was a feel-good romance. I needed this.
