Why Choose

I ate this book up! I really don’t know what a lot of this says about me but give me all the dark romance! I loved the four MCs even with miss communication thrown in. At times Sydney was a little immature but she’s also in college so…

Each guy brought something different to the table including the elusive L. Its interesting in a why choose seeing the ways an open sort of relationship works because you’re different with each one. What you like with this one you don’t with another.

There were some very dark instances so make sure you read the trigger warnings. I love S. Massery and her writing. Every book I’ve read by her I have a hard time putting down.

I had a lot of fun reading this book! We’ve seen a lot of the FMC being an author but this is the first one I’ve read where she gets drunk and pretends to be a man to get a fair chance! Then even further, having to hire a man to be her alter ego!

The relation ship between Daphne and Chris was fun and funny! They had great chemistry and terrific banter, the flirty moments were flirting! This was easy to follow with a great flow to the writing. I never got bored with the story!

Although this is only 4 pages I absolutely loved this! You go so much from each character and now I’m left wanting more! This has so much potential to be expanded and I would absolutely read a full boon over them!

I had a hard time getting into this book and connecting with the characters. It’s a very slow burn with the “thriller” aspect kicking in at about 60%.

I ABSORBED this book!  Honestly I’m starting to believe I’m more unhinged than I previously thought because the more stabby the better 🤷🏽‍♀️. Anyway this was a book that caught my attention on TikTok and I’m so happy I went with it. All the MCs are slightly out of their minds which leads to all the fun chaos. Slightly inspired by ghostface and the scream movies the final girl in me loved it! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Please check the trigger warnings! They’re there for a reason!

This book was a mess in all the best ways! Runaway bride and groom? Check! Getting his twin and the caterer to step in to keep up appearances? Check! Snobby B of a mother of the groom? Check! All of this plus so much more made this an absolute hilarious unexpected ride and I enjoyed it so much! I can for sure see myself rereading this in the future!

Dena’s Thoughts:

This is a continuation of the Oil Knights series. I haven’t read any of the others but these can all be read as standalones. This book follows Austen (after Jane Austen 😍) who just retired from the military and Vienne a single mom with a teenage daughter.

There is something to say about your standard hallmark book. Yes, it’s predictable but to me that dependable. I never tired of the standard romance outline because I know what I’ll get when I pick it up. I really enjoyed this story. The characters were wonderful including all the supporting (except her ex). I would definitely go and read the rest of this series

Dena’s Thoughts
This is my second favorite book in this series. Vicious will always have my heart but Bane is a close second. Roman (Bane) is just as arrogant, vane, conceited and all the things we should hate but love. He has a vision for their ocean side town and in order to succeed he needs the financial backing of Darren Morgansen. That however comes with a cost, befriend his step daughter, Jesse and bring her back to life.

When Jesse was 18 she was violently attacked and sexually assaulted. Since then she’s been (understandably) hiding from the world. When she meets Roman she doesn’t know how to act or what to think about their odd friend ship. What she does know is that he’s giving her strength and courage to become herself again

When I tell you the TWISTS in this story had me!!! Like I said above this book is my second favorite in the series. I just love Jesse’s character so much and honestly Bane is pretty irresistible. The bad guy with a good heart.
