This book was amazing! I was so happy to read that Claire was in this book. She's an amazing advocate for abuse victims in this book and she has really grown on me! She is such a sassy and lovable character. She is an amazing guardian for Zachary as well! This book had everything! I love the friendship in this book!

In this book we meet Margot and she is an abuse victim, but she doesn't think she is because her husband isn't physical. I really felt for her. Her husband was so controlling of her that she was just a shell of who she should have been. This book had me on the edge of my seat and I just had to keep reading to find out what would happen.  I seriously can't wait for the next book in the series! It made me cry, it made me smile and it made my heart race. Seriously so good! I adore the authors writing. It's amazing.

This book had me in a clutch from the beginning! It was so intense and had me wanting to keep reading. I really enjoyed the short chapters. This book was dark, intense and creepy! I really enjoyed the character Emma the daughter. It took me awhile to warm up to her mother.

I don't want to give anything away with this book. It was a wild ride that I thoroughly enjoyed! The author made me feel like I was really there. It played like a movie in my head. If you enjoy books with ghosts, and witches you might enjoy this book! I really hope there's a second with how it ended!

Thank you NetGalley and Rising Action Publishing Co. for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I found Christopher irritating. He was so blind when it came to Janie. This book was so frustrating. And what even was that ending? Where is the rest???

This is the second time I have read this book. The first time was a physical copy, this time I listened to the audiobook. Still such a fantastic book! The narrator is quickly becoming one of my favorites!

I love A.G Hawkins writing and I think this is my favorite of theirs so far. They write stories that grab you and hurt you just a bit, but the endings are always so perfect! And this book is proof of that. If you want pain? Snatch this book up, but don’t forget the tissues!!

I quickly fell in love with Taylor and Claire’s friendship. Taylor didn’t grow up with the best life, and now in college she is struggling. Her best friend is Claire, and she comes from money, and she spends it without thinking twice. But, Claire is one of the most caring people! The author really brought them to life and they felt so real to me. The characters were very believable to me and I felt like I was there.

A.G writes so vividly and I can just picture everything in my head like a movie. I felt anger to the point where I wanted to hit a character in a book in the face, with a brick, lol! The emotions were very strong in this book! This is a dark and intense story with domestic violence. Dylan preyed on Taylor and it made me so incredibly angry. DV like this happens in real life, and I feel like A.G showed that in such a  tactful way. This is a story of pain, friendship, love and justice. I didn’t want the story to end, but I was very happy with how it ended.

Anyway, I know this is a long review, but this book broke me in the best ways. Sometimes you just need a good cry, even if it hurts! I can’t wait to see what else A.G comes up with in the future!
