Fantasy is a genre that I am trying to read more of. I didn't know that this one was based on some of the fairytales that I grew up with. However, this one wasn't for me. The characters didn't really grab my attention and the story fell flat for me.

This was a solid mystery thriller. I read the first 80 pages in one sitting and I found myself wanting mote and more. The middle gets a little boring or not as fast paced as the beginning, but then ending was solid. I think the ending matches the beginning pace of the story.
