What can you say about this book but Wow! Exceptional writing and imagery. I love this book. I love the characters, the way it unfolds and builds. Small characters who become giants in your mind so that you wake up thinking about them.

The writing is nothing special but the content makes up for it. I found it a really interesting read. I wanted to know his take on things and it felt like honesty across the pages.

I absolutely love this author. Her books depth and the magic ability to take you without question into the worlds the characters inhabit.

Amazing man. Amazing how he managed to simplify such a full and obviously not a simple or easy life into 9 lessons – and with humour to boot. I have sent this to my daughter and her young children. These are life lessons for everyone. I loved this short book!

This book is a journey. And what a journey it is. I loved it.

Hernán Rivera Letelier never lets you down. His writing feels so natural, sprinkled (or doused) as it is with typical sharp Chilean humour. He exposes and accepts and describes characters such as they are. Fitting that the story is related to epitaphs and cemeteries in a country where cemeteries are very much part of every day life.

It's not true... I didn't actually finish reading this. I wanted to hear what the two former Communist/Anarchist students turned centrists would talk about. But I stopped when I felt there was too much reference to the authors they had read. To me it felt like name-dropping more than making reference to backup a point. What I read, I found really interesting, though.

This book challenges earlier western perspectives and sheds light on what has really been going on. For decades. Why did we not pay more attention? Recommended!
