I got this in a blind date box.  This is the first "thriller" I've read in a decade and I enjoyed it!  Young adult so not too scary but there were some plot twists I didn't see coming and I didn't figure out the ending and I liked that.  MC is super dumb and annoying but he's a 17 year old boy so I guess it's allowed?  Makes me want to read some more thrillers!

This was fun!  It's not life changing or anything, it's very predictable, and it's not 5 stars bc Sally is irrationally unpleasant at times, but I very much enjoyed the "behind the scenes" info and the writing style.

Very sad, very sweet.  I found all of the abuse difficult and frustrating to read and I was nervous there would be a horrible ending but there isn't, which I'm glad for.

This was okay.  I just don't understand why every woman and most of the men on the island of Jamaica was the worst person you've ever met.  Almost no one had any redeeming qualities including the main character.  I started as a 3 star but now as I write this I'm going 2 star.  I would have DNFed if not for the challenge.  The catharsis at the end wasn't believable enough for me ~ I found my strength ~ why because you finally talked back to an adult?  Blech.

Ugh I wanted to like this book more than I did.  The premise is so cool and great.  The main character is so annoying and there were way too many of my least favorite scene, the type where character A won't do something character B asks but B won't just explain why they're asking!  Also the "romance" is creepy if not honestly sinister and it's not portrayed that way.  Meh.

This was a silly stuff your kindle pickup and I’m disappointed there wasn’t more bear stuff which is a shocking thing to realize about myself.  It took me less than an hour to read.

This would have been great to read in a college class but alas I am not in a college class so I found it to be a bit of a slog.  Great book if you're super interested in this topic though!

Fascinating book, felt made for me (psychogenic illness, Fruitlands allegory).  The end didn't quite wrap up in a satisfying way - it wasn't clear to me exactly what caused the ending - but overall a creative and interesting book.

This was fun!  I got it on Stuff your Kindle Witch Day and enjoyed it!  I've never read a cozy mystery before and this was a good start.
