Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

This is honestly one of the better thrillers I have read as of late, I was hooked right off the bat! I found this book to very well-written and easy to keep up with. As a true crime junkie, reading through this just gave me so many flashes of real life stories. Makes you think that how you really don't know anyone truly beyond what they present to the world. Definitely had my blood pumping a few times during some tense moments.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 11%.
I received this book as an ARC copy and I'm incredibly grateful for that. I've tried a couple times to start this book and this time I tried to push through but I unfortunately DNF'd after 3 chapters because I just couldn't seem to get into the book. I found a lot happening but my brain just couldn't seem to hold on to what was being said. I think that's because I personally found the writing style hard to follow compared to what I normally prefer to read.

I went into this book blind, and while I initially struggled with the multiple POV's it t managed to flow into a nice rhythm eventually that I could follow. This booked didn't quite go where I though it was going to go, but overall not a bad thriller read.

Yet another book I finished in 24 hours. I went into this knowing nothing, just people recommending it through booktok had my interest peeked. I am not a religious person whatsoever, and the first chapter had me wondering if I would want to read through it. I'm happy I stuck with because the just forbidden parts of this book makes it all the hotter. My only issue which I struggled on was the language that was used by Tyler when referring to certain body parts. I'm not a prude, but it's just a word that I don't enjoy so made me feel a little awkward to hear it said so much. Otherwise .. sexy sexy sexy. But due to language, I'm not sure if I'll read more of this series. 3.5 for me.

I love vampires and Hunger Games so knew this book would be right up my alley. I devoured this book in 3 days, and that's only because I had to also try and still work my full time job otherwise I would have finished it sooner. I found the world building and characters easy to follow and was instantly hooked within the first couple chapters. The ending wrenched my heart and now I'm impatiently waiting on the second book! This is my first Carissa Broadbent book, but now I want to delve into all of her work as I absolutely loved her writing!

Overall I really enjoyed this book as the twists and turns kept me on my toes. This book definitely has me thinking I need to read trigger warnings in the future. Now that I have a child, I find reading anything with child abuse very hard to read. Also, the first page of the book was a bit much for me .. I struggled to get the imagery of what happened out of my brain. But I struggle with the idea of gore.

Besides that, I really enjoyed the storytelling of this book and was nice break from the mostly romance books I have been reading as of later.

This is my second favorite book in this series by far. It took me on such an emotional journey. Such beautiful writing and easy to follow. I absolutely loved the adventure that this story has taken me on and I'm honestly sad that this main plot has come to an end. I just want more of Rhys and Feyre's story! Can't wait to re-read.
