I don’t think this book is for middle grades. It’s more so for wake thigh school as it discusses topics that are talked about in middle grades. It also doesn’t necessarily come to a beneficial conclusion. The bullies never face any consequences, parents don’t seem to learn any lessons, and Ellie’s self love journey seems incomplete.
