So many characters, it can be hard to keep your bearings. Absolutely love the double story format. Not too bought into Susan and Andreas but that didn’t bother me much. Having her in Crete is so random.

This one was great! Sometimes the hyperbole can get to me, but it wasn’t too bad in this one. Not enough food description! Can Ruth die already?

I love this style of prose. Wow wow wow. The portrayal of the Catholic Priest and Gilda’s relationships with others were so unique and real. I absolutely loved the writing style and the pace of narrative.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 9%.
Too clinical for my interest right now.

Wholly unnecessary but not unpleasant! Weird to have a Christmas special in a romantasy.

Perfection! I love Molly and Mr. Preston and everyone in these books. The flashback sequences were a great addition to the story. I hope we get more books set at the Regency Grand.

So twisty and satisfying! The book within a book concept worked really well and I loved Susan as a narrator. The ending with
the reveal of what Atticus Punt meant kind of soured the final chapters for me.
Love a cozy British mystery! I never guess whodunnits correctly lol

My personal guru, Diane in Denmark, has the best application of the approach. Life changing!

Sadly, a lot of the historical and societal elements were over my head. The beginning and end were excellent! Evocative. I lost the plot a bit in the middle. Glad to have read this.

Liked it less than Book 2. These books are just sooooooo long.
The Miriyam and Drakon parts felt very random. And definitely saw a lot of the ending with Lucien, Vassa, Elain, and Nesta coming.
Really hard to picture the Cauldron. The King was so cheesy as the “Final Boss” type. Very into the love stories of Nesta and Elain in the upcoming books!
Glad that I was right to like Tamlin. I want him to find love too!!
