Poetic and romantic. As a vampire love story, it is refreshing. The metaphor was a little too heavy handed for me. The relationships between the characters leaves much to think about…

Best read so far this year. I was engrossed. It’s spooky and surprising. Left so much to think about. I even read the author’s acknowledgment at the end, which ended up punching me in the gut <3

Not going to finish. It felt boring, repetitive. Also felt like I was reading rich people propaganda. I think I would prefer to read an actual nonfiction book about Marjorie Post, bc she does seem fascinating. The author’s style just doesn’t work for me.
