This one was a bit of a flop for me - it was written very suspensefuly but the ultimate outcome wasn't that interesting. The structure was unique and I appreciated that
This book is a beautiful story of belonging, forgiveness, and the dangers of spreading hate online/in the media. It's terribly sad, but very well done. Sometimes in books like this, I can find myself more interested in the present time plot line than the flashback stories (or vis versa!), but I was engaged in each section of this novel.
I did not expect to love this one but it kept surprising me, page after page. The writing was incredible, the plot was revealed little by little, and the characters were incredibly unique and compelling. It's dark, eerie, mysterious, and suspenseful. Not for everyone, especially as it's a little slow and confusing to start, but well worth the mental energy for me
